My group stayed in the much hyped Ushuaia during the last week in September. Found the front desk staff to be very helpfull and polite. As our room was late being cleaned we were upgraded to one of the poolside party rooms.. I been ibiza a bunch of times and have been lucky enough to experience VIP at some of the big clubs but nothing compares to the party we had on our terrace during Ants. Felt like royalty thanks forever!!!
The best thing about my stay was...Helpful front desk staff.

The staff seemed quite indifferent to anything other than basic requests. For example we requested a non smoking room and our room stank of cigarettes but no other options were offered save for an expensive upgrade to the other hotel. When we asked to see the rooms we were told there was no one available to show us so we had to find them ourselves. There was never anyone available at the end of the day to return towel cards. The bat service at the tower bat and the beach bar was ridiculously slow. You could never sit at the beach cafe as they were always setting up for the next setting.
The best thing about my stay was...Having access to the beach cafe area

Fantastic playground for adults!
Tom, Liverpool. UK
Ushuaia is the best of both worlds, by day the hotel is peaceful and the beach club is an amazing place to watch the world go by. The food is delicious although a bit pricey it is no worse than any of the other high class beachfront eateries. When the nights are on the hotel turns into a massive outdoor club of which there is no equal on the island!
The best thing about my stay was...Poolside rooms have fenced in front gardens. So many people ask how they get into these VIP areas! Priceless!

Top hotel with amazing views, great value for money
Gemma mason, London
I stayed here with a few friends for 4 days of the closing parties and I certainly wouldn't stay anywhere else on the island from now on. We had a double terrace room which included breakfast. We had breakfast every morning looking out on to the beach which was amazing. All events at the hotel were included and we had great views from our room which meant we could also party on our terrace. Staff are friendly, great value for money you literally can not fault this hotel.
The best thing about my stay was...Waking up to experience great day time parties without having to move from the hotel

Fabulous but expensive
Samantha Kenny, Dublin 14
My husband and I had reservations about booking a stay in Ushuaia having read all the reviews online about it. So many people had negative experiences with staff and noise etc, but we are happy to report that we enjoyed our stay at Ushuaia. We booked via Alpharooms at a hugely discounted price. We chose a superior double room and as part of the booking process, included a note specifically asking for a first floor pool view room with a kingsize bed. On arrival, the check-in process did take a long time As there were a large number of ‘concierge’ style staff just hanging about the lobby waiting to assist people – we did think that they could have been put to MUCH better use on the check in desk (which only had one person working on it). We stayed in Block Duo – the second block from the stage area. The room itself was beautifully decorated in simple crisp white, with a minimalistic stylish vibe. There was enough wardrobe space and several drawers. The air con was good, and only operates when the balcony door is closed. The bathroom was beautifully designed to a high spec finish, with a shower that had both a handheld hose as well as a waterfall head option on the ceiling above. The shower does have a full length glass panel which shows through to the sleeping area – so if you are body conscious that may be an issue if sharing with friends rather than a partner. You can always cover this if you use the wardrobe fully as your clothes would cover the glass panel. The bathroom also has a port hole sized window to outside, so can benefit from natural air. The room has a cleverly designed exterior light which you can set to show whether you want the room cleaned, or do not wish to be disturbed. Another clever feature is that there is a plug inside the safe (for leaving a camera or a phone on charge, in a perfectly secure environment). We also liked the colour changing light system which runs along the wall behind the bed. The kingsize bed itself was fantastic, very comfortable and the linen was good quality also. The mini bar contents and room service were very expensive, so we avoided those altogether. The balcony area was perfect for watching the parties that take place around the pool area. We were only there for one party (Luciano on the 27th September) which was very good. It was like having our own VIP box to watch the show from. We had bought our own booze from a local shop and enjoyed that from the privacy of our own balcony throughout. We saw people bringing in bags of booze as late as 4pm on the day of the party. Breakfasts at Ushuaia are an experience!! Amazing choice ranging from fresh fruits, yoghurts, cold meats, cheeses, crackers, a massive array of freshly baked breads and rolls, sausages, rashers, several kinds of egg, smoothies, juices (go for the one with red bull and tropical fruits – its amazing), caviar… the list is endless and hugely impressive. We enjoyed a glass or two of Cava with our breakfast each morning – such a nice start to the day. The pool at Ushuaia is beautiful and well designed with the option of walking down 5 steps into a shallower end, or using the stairs to get into the deeper end. There is also a small knee-high pool. The sunbeds around the pool were pure luxury compared to some places. Each has a mattress of around 10” deep and were very comfortable. They have a small lockable box underneath for safekeeping items while you swim. We stayed the last week in September and had no difficulty in securing beds as late as even midday on some days. There are also sun loungers on the beach which are free to use, but we stuck to the pool. We found the beach bar lovely – but at that time of year it was completely dead on every evening (apart from the 1 party night). We didn’t eat at the hotel at all. The Japanese restaurant Minami only opens at 8pm and it was too pricey. The pool does have an ordering facility for food, and it all looked good but we didn’t have any. There is a fabulous restaurant only a few doors away called the Passion Café, and we ate there on three occasions. Would highly recommend it for wholesome food with good veggie options. In terms of noise which is a big feature of other reviews – it is definitely something to be aware of. The hotel is immediately under the flight path of all incoming planes. They pass literally about 50 foot overhead and its incredibly loud. That said, after the first one or two – we became immune to it. I do think there are a few throughout the night – but we managed to sleep through them. We had no problem sleeping in the afternoon either. In terms of staff – there is definitely a whole heap of room for improvement. We found the pool bar staff, and the breakfast waitresses to be lovely in general. While some other staff members could do with a crash course in customer service, my main criticism would be directed towards the breakfast hostess Anna. A smile costs absolutely nothing and would have been a more pleasant start to people’s days than her frowning face. We do overall recommend Ushuaia – we would definitely stay there again, but be aware that it is costly, and the area outside the hotel is not great.
The best thing about my stay was...all the small well thought through things like lighting, pool area, parties, breakfast

Amazing Hotel. No other place to stay in Ibiza.
naz goni, Mexborough
This place is a fantastic addition to Playa Den Bossa. Got upgraded to a suite for free on arrival! Service impeccable, sushi delicious and drink prices at the pool reasonable. Parties are already getting a reputation for being the place to be, drawing all the big names. Breakfast includes prosecco and caviar as part of buffet. Over 25 policy works for me- no young idiots around causing chaos.
The best thing about my stay was...The suites are where it's at!

Great venue for a party. But never stay there!
Laura Fletcher, London
The hotel does an amazing job at throwing a party. It's almost like going to a concert! But forget about staying there. It really is the worst hotel I've EVER stayed in! Every single member of staff we came into contact with was rude, arrogant and really lacked the whole work ethic. Pool waitresses thought it wasn't in their job description to ask us if we wanted a drink at any point. Security interrogated us, every time we walked in or out of the hotel. Rudely accusing us of trying to gate crash the hotel before even asking us if we were staying in the hotel. Always waiting ages for menus at the restaurant! In the end we got up ourselves to go and order a drink at the bar. Check in was supposedly 2pm but that was not the case. We ended up getting into our room 5 hours later! The rooms were ok but incredibly noisy, we could hear doors slamming and planes flying over at all hours (the hotel is at the end of the flight path) not really what you need when you return from a night out and try and get an hours shut eye before breakfast finishes! The whole time we stayed at the hotel we felt like we wasn't welcome and all they were interested in was the parties. They should stick to just holding parties and not try and run a hotel. In other words stick to what you know you are good at! To top it all off I spent 6 hours in A&E with food poisoning from a ham and cheese sandwich which room service delivered!
The best thing about my stay was...Checkin out

Seriously something else.....
Natasha Kerr, Ballieston
Guys and girls yes this hotel is expensive however that's what u need to pay for a serious piece of class! It was breathtaking from Start to finish. Got Back yesterday and about to book again. Our room was right above the room the VIP use and really close to the stage where we seen everything! Everyone must experience this hotel. Really quiet and peaceful during the day and crazy at night but everything stops at midnight if u wanna sleep Or leave and party elsewhere :) At least once in their life! I am Hooked :)
The best thing about my stay was...The class without the pretentious!

I was shocked at the bad service I experienced by the reception staff. We paid 53 euros for late check up until 6pm. One of our group went up earlier than the rest of us and was in the room alone. A group of men walked into the room while she was getting changed, they had been given the card to our room. They politely left but no-one should have been given access to this room. I understand mistakes can happen but when explaining this to reception they laughed at us and told us that nothing had happened so it wasn’t a problem but we could have a drink at the bar. I would have liked at least an apology and my money back but the reception staff the ''manager'' Martin and Maria told us to leave. Apart from this incident this is the second time I have stayed at this hotel, and it’s is just what you need for a weekend in Ibiza. It’s on the beach, next door to Ushuaia, short walk from Space and Bora Bora
The best thing about my stay was...Location

5* Hotel, 2* Service - Great Experience but let down by the staff
Lisa Kincaid, London
Just back from 10 days in Ibiza, stayed 3 nights at Ushuaia with my husband, we're both clubbers in our 30's. It was my partners birthday and our wedding anniversary so we thought we'd splash out on Ushuaia. We paid £200 a night for a superior room (good deal through alpharooms as many people there paid a lot more). On arrival the check in is awful, it took 45 mins and this was the same for all guests. Be prepared they will take 300 euros off your credit card as a deposit and return it on check out. Check out is also a long process. We finally got into our room and it was lovely, yes the wardrobe is small but still a good size room. Avoid the ultra expensive mini bar and get your own drinks down town and put them in the fridge. Note - there is no ipod dock unless you pay for it, also the nice things in the drawers are not free! ushuaia iphone case etc. We had a reasonable view of the stage and a great pool view. I loved the dressing table and rainfall shower. The hotel itself is amazing, right on the beach, gorgeous pool, quiet in the daytime, but very noisy at night, lots of guests having their own all night parties. The Pool Disco was cool, I can imagine a big night would be amazing. Make sure to have your included free breakfast, from 6am-12, loads of choice and champagne! We also looked at the swim up rooms, but these are round the side so no stage views from here. There a lot of moody looking security around at all times, I understand they need to be there to keep people out but a smile to the guests might be nice, the staff were not terribly friendly or helpful, most didn't speak any English, nothing was explained to us, like even though we were guests we still weren't allowed in some areas, not VIP enough. I think if you were spending big money you'd get more attention. Food and drink was pricey as expected, we paid 28 euros for a burger and chips and it wasn't amazing, if your after good food at a good price I recommend Bora Bora just down the road. Location is great, right on the beach and opposite Space, note the sunbeds on the beach are not free or included in your stay. Overall I'd go there again, but only for the big nights, the rest of our stay was in Gran Sol, San An, a hotel I can't recommend enough!
The best thing about my stay was...The room, pool, and pool disco
